We are aware that there is a high level of concern amongst parents about absence due to the latest sickness bug circulating in Brackley. We can assure you that we take very seriously any incidents of sickness within the school. We have previously advised parents that they should not allow their children to return to school until a of 24 hours after the last bout of sickness & diarrhoea, however in light of NHS guidelines we are going to increase this to a of 48 hours. As always no child should return to school before they are well, regardless of the time, and never before they are eating & drinking properly.
Yesterday all teachers spoke to the children about the importance of hand hygiene and this was reinforced with an assembly and new posters in the toilets. As part of our school curriculum children are taught about personal hygiene and how to prevent the spread of germs.
