2nd April 2019 Intra school Gymnastics competition

This was our first Intra school competition! 4 children from each class were selected, each from a different House. They had to perform a floor routine including a jump, balance and a roll and also a vault using a bench. Mrs Lagdon and Mrs Roache were the judges. The highest scorer for each year group was awarded a certificate and the winning House team overall were the Shamrocks! It was a fantastic event and the children thoroughly enjoyed it.

11th February 2019 - Cluster School's Gymnastics Competition

A group of year 1 and 2 children attended the cluster gymnastics festival.  They had to learn a floor routine of 6 gymnastics skills and a vault to perform to the judges.  The children performed brilliantly and all received a medal and certificate.

Indian Dance Workshop - 31.10.18

Each class enjoyed a fantastic opportunity today to take part in an Indian dance workshop with Manisha.  We learnt all about the festival of Diwali and each class learnt a different type of Indian dance.  The day ended with an assembly where each class performed their dance to the rest of the school.

On 17th October, Mr Bailey and Mrs Roache took 2 teams of year 2 children to participate in the cluster New Age Kurling competition.  The children all tried their best and displayed great sportsmanship.   One team came second overall and the other team came third.  Well done to all involved!
